When you go to court for a divorce or other family dispute, you often have two interests. One may be winning everything you’re entitled to. The other may be preserving relationships for the good of your children or your extended family. These interests don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

Our law is based on having two sides who argue solely for their own view. In fact, you’re probably doing yourself a disservice if you go into a divorce unaware of what you’re entitled to claim. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be willing to compromise or that you need to turn the proceedings into a nasty fight — only that you should understand your rights.

We use our extensive trial experience to help you understand your rights and determine your goals. We then develop a trial strategy designed to help you reach these goals. This also includes trying to find common ground with your ex-spouse or the other party. Often, the attorneys in a family law case can act as intermediaries to help you find win-win situations that may have been blocked by bad feelings if you tried to talk to your ex-spouse on your own. If we can’t, we will be fully prepared to take your case to court.
